I got a phonecall from them basically saying they still haven't found a breach and are investigating the situation. This was after I had emailed them though, so I'm not sure whether they've rung every customer who ordered in the danger period.

Just got off the phone with CRC, they apparently don't know how many people were affected (despite claiming a figure 0.1% on their other forum posts) and want people to ring in: *+44 (0)2893343758 (9am-5.30pm). *They'll give you email updates on their ongoing investigations.

Still, I'm pretty exasperated that I've had to find this out serendipitously on a forum instead of receiving direct contact - especially as I was done for over a grand. Thankfully got the money back.

I got hit by this big time, it came up as "card services" on my statement. Reported it to fraud services and bank has refunded the money.

Somebody tried to sell me one of those at a running convention. Instead of immediately going all Ben Goldacre on her, I let her explain and try to empirically prove that it worked.

She got me to close my eyes and stand on one leg before pushing me. She then tried a second time when I had the bracelet on. I was actually unsteadier the second time! Fail.

I've actually engaged in a measurement FAIL. I'm actually 172cm (just under 5ft 8). I blame human physiology and the fact that people are taller first thing in the morning compared to the evening.

If 57 actually is 55cm, then i suspect the 57 frame should still be ok. I'll ring them to check.

I'm considering getting one of these for use on the road. There was another thread where the issue of damaging the dropouts on skid stopping was raised. Has anybody encountered such problems?

Also I'm about 5 ft 9" - I' reckon a 54 frame should be alright?

Haha, yeah. I sometimes cycle from Brentwood to Central London and people always shout some bollocks at me whenever I'm riding through Romford including: 'Bicycle wanker,' 'Get a life!' and unfortunately some racial epithets. Really gotta move to London!

I'm from Brentwood and cycling is one of the only things that keeps me sane in this area!

I tend to do a nice low-traffic, flat route through Blackmore--> Writtle--> Fyfield-->Ongar--> and back to Brentwood.

Saw quite a few cyclists between Blackmore and Writtle today, couple of them on fixed.
