If you're sitting back to minimise knee flexion, heels won't necessarily aid with that. Most 'sit back' squatters use flats. Heels are generally to help get knees even more forward. Just crank the straps tight and they're basically grippy socks.
For flexy but stable flats, I really like the Notorious rip-offs on AliExpress. £8 to my front door, well built, only feel like a minor twat in them.

Also, did my test day early this morning. Stressful week entering it and had to rush through as my alarm didn't go off (of all days!) but the errors I made all avoidable. Hit 195kg squat, 115kg bench (pinned by 120, which I hit for a double two weeks ago) and 230kg deadlift. PRs at a lower bodyweight so cant complain. But you always want more don't you. Really looking forward to getting back to higher reps for a bit.
I ride bikes.
