After much umming and ahhing, I think I need to sell the macho man. Moving abroad and can't take all the bikes. I'll make a classifieds post later but for posterity this bike is:
- All City Macho Man canti brake frameset, stripped and powdercoated blue in 2021, need to check the size, 56 or 58, I'm 5'11" and it's v comfy
- Fulcrum racing (5?) wheels and specialized pathfinder tires (700c X 38 maybe)
- Praxis bottom bracket and 1x chainring (42? T)
- Hope headset
- Coincidentally perfectly colour matched cantilever brakes. Marin something? Tbc
- SRAM X9 10 speed
- Shimano 11-36(tbc) cassette
- Velo orange stem
- Cannondale something seatpost
- PAUL brake levers wow indulgent
- On one mike handlebars and ESI foam grips
- Kinesis aluminium mudguards
- Badly installed but very functional pannier rack
- Saddle and pedals I'd like to change and keep before a sale

I've never flown with a bike before so hoping to get some anecdotal or even well-informed advice..
I make techy sculptures and I want to transport one on a flight in the coming weeks. A hard bike travel case is the perfect size for this thing. Is it likely to get held up at the airport? I'm imagining airline security looking at the X-ray of what is obviously a bike travel case and seeing it full of industrial looking power supplies and radiators and fans and so on and holding it up.
Any thoughts appreciated!
