Thanks everyone. @DethBeard, totally agree with your point. It’s my fault for being a bit too confident that it would go for more than this.

But a deal is a deal and I’m not going to be That Guy (tm) to realistically get less than a hundred quid more.

I've been at the receiving end of the "the item is actually out of stock/sold to someone else, sorry," hence why I think it's possible to cancel the sale. Uncool move nonetheless, as you point out.

As to your point, and as I kind of realise tonight, I can actually hold on to this for a while until better times should I choose profit over a sale. Which I'm not sure how I feel. I guess I was also curious to know whether you'd also think this has actually quite a bit more value than that it sold for (in terms of measuring what's worth being a bit of a bellend to someone else on ebay). If that makes sense?

Re: this Dawn Grey Samurai I popped on eBay – it just sold for £433, quite a bit lower than what I was expecting. Worth cancelling and greedily hoping to sell later, or take a small profit with a favourable £1 fee, you'd say?

Speaking of Helson, I'm rather saddened they're apparently not making the Sharkmaster 300 (hommage to the Omega Seamaster 300) any more. That top hat sapphire 👌

Just spent the last hour being very kindly offered to test ride the Bullitt and Omnium Mini Max at Velogut here in Berlin. Was awesome.

I'm renting both on Wednesday to go round the parks with the little one in the car seat strapped up front!

From @seager's advice, I used jubilee clips and still going strong!

@edscoble @Tadpole thanks for the offers to right it, but I've got to be honest with myself: I don't like it as much as I should, so it's going to go!

Speaking of silly Seikos, I've picked up no. 13 out of 2018 of the Samurai Dawn Grey. The bezel doesn't align, it is so infuriating.

    I might move it on.

Very happy with my fake Erika strap (link to eBay) so far.

I don’t have a tremendous amount of things I can compare it to, but my previous NATO/Zulu strap had about as much stretch as a car seat belt when dry, and became looser when wet.
No issue with this strap, the fit seems always right and nicely spread on the wrist.

One thing I did was file the stupid logo out of the buckle, which now looks roughly brushed, quite the opposite end of the spectrum from a zarastu polish if you see what I mean.

Huge bonus: typing/writing without the strap getting in the way or scratching the laptop.

    10/10 would (gonna?) buy again
