Found a Trek T-900 online, as the frame is aluminium and based on the color a model from 2004, I’m in doubt whether I should make an offer or let this one pass.

Frame size is 18.5” front and 14.5”aft, from what age/length would a child be able to fit on the back?

There is a trek t900 on the Dutch marktplaats. ad has been placed for at least three times by the same seller, I assume there is not much interest until now. Original asking price was 675 euro, currently asking 575.

    On a regular non-electric Bullitt:
Super moto 2.4” on the front
Schwalbe marathon dureme 2.0” on the rear.

Mudguard on the front is a challenge, as the clearance is limited near the fork crown and between the tire and the front panel of the cargo area. It works with a steel U shaped mudguard.

Aren’t all C-bear products standard equipped with ceramic bearings?

Their bottom brackets never failed on me (I have several) and rate them. Even after years of commute, they still work without any maintenance. Unlike the standard sram gxp bottom brackets which fail within a couple of months usually.

Don’t know where you have seen them, I paid definitely less than 50% of a CK bottom bracket.

Can’t remember the exact fuel consumption as it was close to 3 years ago that we went to France.
I felt comfortable driving around 100 km/h and did not go much above that, so fuel consumption wasn’t too bad. With two normal bikes on top the fuel consumption is around 6,0l/ 100 km, it was probably about 6,5 l/ 100 km.

But it is definitely better than having to use a trailer to transport the bike.

Indeed a two person job. I made a wooden support frame to be used on top of the transverse bars. This way the Bullitt is positioned closer to the roof (compared with a Thule style bike rack), makes lifting it in the roof a lot easier.

Made a cut out for the steering rod using a chisel, the bike is supported underneath the cargo area.

Have used it for a cycling trip in France, we drove more than 700 km with the cargo bike on the roof before we started cycling.

Turn it around so the bike is facing backwards with the rear wheel partially in front of your wind screen?
I do the same with our Bullitt during transport on the roof of our car.
