I saw this link was posted on someones strava page so thought I would post here so you actually know what happened and who to solely point the finger at.
There was 2 away from the 2/3 race whom had actually lapped the 4th cat race a few times. Then come down to the sprint in the 4th cat race the 2 in the break of the 2/3 race the break stuck fully to the right of the circuit allowing 20 odd riders to pass past and sprint safely. Then 1 idiot/supreme chopper decide then to go round the right handside of the 2 in the break onto the grass and then try and 'jump' back onto the track. Naturally his bike skills fell short of Sagan-esque vision he had and his front wheel washed out coming back onto the track. Coming down directly in front of the 2 2/3 riders in the break (40 seconds clear with 2 laps to go) and then causing everyone behind to get caught up in it. I need to thank him for wrecking all my kit/bike and for all the road rash. Turns out he was sprinting for around 25th place what an idiot.
Sorry to hear that Amey that proper sucks, at least my damage is nowhere near as bad at that and even more frustrating is that it was 1 person that caused it and that it was 100% avoidable. Luckily I got my bike insured a few weeks back so looks like that is covered but still annoying being taken down out the break by a rider from another race lol
