Those Mizuno Wave look pretty good, will consider them for next time along with Scott trainers.
What's the sizing like on mizuno shoes? Size up/down or spot on?

@Sainsburys_Ed yeh I'll probably end up using them. Few folk including yourself seem to rate them.

I've stated it a lot recently, but I'll state it again. Sauconys latest run of trail shoes has been piss poor.
Marketed as "slim lined", it would seem to me they've actually just cut corners and quality with their latest offers. Short as fuck laces. Cheap soles. Crap, flimsy uppers, and yet bumped the prices up £20/£30.
'COST OF LIVING AFFECTS AMATEUR TRAIL RUNNERS!' would be the headline.
I keep repeating myself because I've run in saucony since I started running and always end up back with them, so I'm really disappointed.

Does anyone have experience of Scott trail shoes?
They look pretty well made and everywhere seems to be selling them at heavily discounted prices.

@Stonehedge that's reassuring feedback. Thanks. I'm still undecided and scared to take them outside. Once they've been run in, there's no turning back.

These Nike's look interesting. What's the drop on them?

Great news! How long were you out for?
I ruptured my ACL July 2021 and likely getting reconstructive surgery, finally, in December. I've still been running though, was only out for 2 months after initial injury 🤷🏻♂️

So the Hoka One One Speedgoats arrived, and were very quickly packaged up and sent back.

I'm a UK 11, measured more or less bang on. I would need to size up at least once in Hoka, so a UK 12.
Unfortunately, the width was still far too tight, and this was the 'wide' model of the speedgoat, so I'm not even going to bother with the next size up, and instead get money back.

I've settled on Nike Wildhorse 6. Mad looking trainer. They're an 8mm drop which is steeper than I'd like and they're not necessarily that wide fitting, but with 30% off ticketed price at a local Nike store, £55 was too good to pass up. So even if they do burst after 300km, it won't be too much of a loss.

My current Saucony Peregrine 12s are 330km in, only two months, bursting at the toes, and tread completely worn down, and they were £130, and lot less of shoe than what the peregrine 10s were.

Bring back the old Saucony xodus iso!

Normally I hate spoof comedy songs where the joke is that two words that aren't normally sang, rhyme, but the northern boys are another level. 10/10.

Will give you a quick run down when they arrive 😂.

Unfortunately, most of my running shoe issues come within 300km, so I'll be happy if they last beyond that.
Currently my Saucony Peregrine 12s are at 322km, and have started showing where my feet are going to burst through. They'll be lucky to make it 450km.
