All totally valid, though I hadn't realised there is a 29 limit. Maybe for campag cassettes but I get by with an ultegra 11-32 and no issues.

No worries, I've got a busy couple of months coming up and am fairweather AF anyways so let's coordinate when summer has us all whinging about how bloody hot it is :)

Always a fan of your bikes although I'm gonna stick with my preference for the old five arm chainset, these new ones just look clunky and the arms look stuck onto the rings. But yeh, 52/36 is nicer to ride.

Aesthetic criticism, but that's what this thread's all about right?

Ah man, this is the nuts!! Work's been mental and I've not been keeping up but adding my admiration to all the above. Can't wait to see it when it's fully ready and 9170 will look bang on. I'll need to ride over your way this summer to see it in the flesh.

Sadly I've never found the frameset for the vintage MTB city cruisers that are so cool right now but if I did I would put these cranks on. Someone here might like them. Or pass them on to me if I ever get around to it.

EDIT: maybe not the chain, thought it was the hollow pins but that's DA.

Dibs 11-32 cassette and chain if it is long enough to run with 52-36 chainring (this probably depends on frame size too...)

Bonsoir folks, after having lots of fun bouncing around in some rather posh Nikes mentioned above (believe the hype but for godsake don't pay full whack), I've returned to my normal shoes.
I did a fairly challenging speed workout today but got through it just thinking that the Atreyus aren't quite as comfy. However, after a shower and supper I stood up and have acute pain just to the right of the coccyx (yes I did have to check the dictionary for spelling). Quite strange as I always feel great after a run so I think it must be the change of shoes along with quite high intensity.
Anyway, I'm fairly crippled right now and literally grasping furniture to get around the flat. Should I roll on something? Load up on ibuprofen? I'm a little nervous that I'll go to bed and wake up incapacitated but it may also be that I'm right as rain...
