Chris Marshall has a good rep for building really nice frames, moved workshops a few years ago and now only dies repairs and refurb I think.
Do you mean the drop of your brake is too long? Live dangerously and buy a cheap as chips Weinmann 500 calliper and re-live the braking experience from my era :)

There was a Bill Philbrook frame sold on here for £40 instead of £240 that would look nice with some more modern kit given the geometry and fillet brazed design. I wonder what the new owner will do with it?
Drill holes and then cable tie the crack together?
Do summer raspberries fruit on last year's growth so it has to be left?
Hire car and deal with it later?
Used to sell these in the 70's :). Are the rear brake blocks going to hit the tyre?
