True, but I grew up there and over the 14 years I lived in the Netherlands I reckon I experienced racism to my face on average once a week. There were also three significant events that I'd say were some kind of assault on me and my parents and the last one nearly ended up with my dad going to hospital. I hope things have improved since then but based on what I have seen in the news over the years and the political situation it doesn't look like it has.

shift ownership out of the country were push come to shove

I thought the draft bill would still apply to ownership outside the UK because of the way they specify "UK-linked"?

My place is about to start a trial of minimum 3 days in the office on the basis that a lot of the work we do requires collaboration. With offices all around the UK the non-London offices have loved this WFH period as they say they have been on an equal footing and felt they have been able to influence things more. Will be interesting to see how things pan out on that front.

For the days I have to be in the office I'll end up arriving late and leaving early to do the nursery/school run. I won't be making up the lost work hours in my own time because this time around the office managers had a choice. Before lockdown, mass WFH was an unknown entity and at least where I am it has been shown to work very well in most cases. I'm not going to be penalised for their choice when I could easily have worked from home that day with higher output, happiness, and fatter wallet.

I deleted FB in 2019 and I'm really glad I did. Still have an IG account but recently deleted the app and I actually haven't been on since (around four weeks ago). I'm pleased because before this step I found I was endlessly scrolling and would end up losing 30 min at a time, often several times a day. I've got a nextdoor account but I only go there to sell stuff so it's fine. My only other social media account is on here and like others have said my ignore list has sadly ramped up over the last year. I think the majority of the bile and willy waving stuff is generated by around twenty people so once you've got them on ignore it's ace.

I know not technically a board game at this point, but has anyone here tried Gloomhaven online, from Steam? I bought it yesterday and worked through the tutorial. I thought it was great. Going to start playing it with some friends in the evenings until it is easy/safe to play actual board games again in person.

You can't swim in Frensham little pond but you can generally swim in the great pond. They might mark out certain areas where safe, it's algae season coming soon.

    Black Pearl

I tried to sell one in this colour but no takers. I think it was cursed.
