Looking for a 48-52 starter road bike for gf. She's 5'4" with short arms so 52 might be optimistic and also hasn't really cycled before so not looking for anything special. ~£200 budget seems reasonable? Let me know if you have anything that fits.

2009 Specialized Langster 58cm (XL). Fitted me as shown and I'm 6'3", although I always found the reach pretty long hence jaunty handle bar angle. This used to be my commuter but hasn't been used for about a year. Frame condition is pretty rough, bit of oxidisation around seat stays, fair few scrapes but no dents or dings. Needs a new chain (rusty) and bar tape (scraped). The bike has new brake pads and pretty much unused tyres.

It's had replacement cranks (Sugino Messenger), DMR V8 pedals, seatpost, saddle (Brooks Flyer I think), cheap Sora/FSA Gossamer brakes/levers and rear wheel (Weinmann DP18). Everything else is original. Happy to supply a (scraped but usable) Flite if buyer wants a more appropriate saddle.

Will supply with a newish condition mismatched Weinmann DP18 front wheel (black) as opposed to the original shown in the pics because the bearings are shot.

    Pick up from Herne Hill

    £180 seems ballpark?

Thanks both. Saw the X-rays, It's definitely repositioned itself and pieces of bone appear to move in unison so I doubt it's a non union. It feels generally OK but definitely wouldn't want to try any press-ups. I've got a full range of motion (although have done since a couple of weeks after it was broken) so wasn't recommended for physio. I think I probably could have rested it more so might just be a case of healing a little slowly, might give it another couple of months and if it's still painful/weak go back to the doctor.

Broke mine in June. Discharged and hospital seems to think it has mostly healed. Still feels pretty uncomfortable/weak if I do anything that puts any pressure across the collarbone. I also get a burning pain over the back of my shoulder (I think possibly from my shoulder muscles tensing up when the shoulder feels weak across the front). Sound familiar to anyone?

Do you know a local builder/plumber you could pay to come and do it? If you're gna grinder it get some goggles also, a drain surveyor we used decided to cut a chain with a grinder and manage to get metal in his eye.

Some idiot left their D lock on my bike as opposed to the bike stand once and I managed to get a contractor from across the road to remove it with a metal cutting saw.
