Been having issues with my knee for the last few months but it finally seems to be getting better. Celebrated by cycling the Molesworth muster which is 180km of gravel through the center of the South Island.
Might have been a bit ambitious but managed to get through without too much damage. Bike performed fantastically, definitely feeling justified in moving to full bike packing gear.

Refreshed my old commuter bike that's been sitting at my parents for the last 5 years.
It's an old Healing 10-speed that got stripped and converted to fixed years ago. Since being back I've changed the cranks to a much more knee friendly 42t, as well as some big old cruiser bars that came off my girlfriends Peugeot. Keeping an eye out for a Wald basket for the front and then I'm calling it done.

Went for a NYE mission into the mountains. Beautiful trails and got to try out new packing arrangements on both bikes.
Unfortunately packed too light and forgot some essentials while bringing a bunch of stuff we didn't really need. Regardless a generally nice and not too traumatic time was had by all and we're looking forward to getting out more!

Naively agreed to rebuild my brothers bike for Christmas. No good before pictures but suffice to say he hasn't looked after it.
Long story short; It's since been repainted and everything has been stripped, degreased and rebuilt. Levers are too low because he insists that he prefers it that way, but otherwise it's running lovely. Even with Campy drivetrain and Shimano wheels and cassette.
I've been running i21s for a few years and currently have 2.2" front and 1.9" rear. Have thought about replacing them with something wider but also have had zero problems with them
