so a heat pad to keep the battery warm, running off the battery?
I didn't do physics at school (didn't do much at all) but surely...
seems a bit like perpetual motion

    also, it's max 5v

    9 days later...
I had a bit of spare time (hurrah), so armed with replacement gear cables I took the cover off the gear shifter. The cables looked fine so I thought I'll just try a bit of grease...
All I could find to hand was WD40 (I know, it's not a lubricant...) and gave it a good squirt whilst turning the shifter back & forth. Seemed a tad looser but nothing to write home about...
... got on the bike this morning -eureka! Never, even when I had the manual conversion done, has gear shifting been so easy. Now I'm thinking should I regularly use WD40 or maybe lithium grease spray?

My UA has Shimano Sait Zee brakes. The pads that were originally fitted were Shimano HO3C which are metal sintered. They're usually £25 - £35 pair (ouch). The ceramic equivalent is HO3a which are cheaper but don't last as long. I recently found and alternative, sintered pair made by Vandorm at £18/pair. Only used for about 2 months but so far they seem same performance as Shimano Ho3C. Got them from bikeparts.co.uk but they don't seem to have them at the mo (wish I'd bought more than 2 sets)

This is a rather moot point. All the LI battery fires I've every read about are from cheap imports. If you're using Bosch/Shimano etc I don't think this is a particular issue. That said, I do unplug the charger once battery is charged (unless it's still not charged & past my bed time!)

been through a couple of cables since the manual conversion I had done in 2021. Don't think it's that - but as I said, I'll give that a try when I get some free time

2019 model. I will try new cables but I doubt it's the reason

My Enviolo is getting increasingly stiff to change. When it's been standing in the rain all night it's a two handed job to start with then gets a bit easier with use. Is this a sign of nearing the end of it's life?
If so, do I replace with the same (this is the third one I've had in three years & now out of warranty), or do I splash out for a Rohloff?
Also, how difficult is it to fit a Rohloff to a UA?

Cheers, I'll try the battery reset. Unfortunately I don't have a spare Powerpak

Annyone on here familiar with "532 error" on Bosch Powerpack frame battery? I'm pretty certain it's corrosion or dirt on the male plug where battery fits. I've had issues every now & then where power just cuts out, or Intuvia display starts flashing on/off. Brushing terminals with wire brush seems to work for a while. Wondered whether electrical contact spray might help? Also, if this is an issue with others, might be good to have a cap to go over terminals when the battery is removed
