Status: Neutra Kitchen was the winner, but apparently on back order until new year. As you were.

A colleague has just arrived with an entire suitcase of "the best bread you'll ever eat" - so this is an emergency:

Does anyone in Soho have a breadknife on them today?
Failing that, does anyone know where I can get one of the Opinel breadknives in Soho today?

I've long fancied one, and this feels like the right time.

Unfortunate season opener - toddler handed me a half chewed pie his Aunty had given him that he had decided he didn’t want.

I’m not sure I’m ready for him to reject mince pies. It was only a year ago we caught him stealing and eating them behind a curtain… such innocent times.

Didn’t want to waste the half chewed one though. It wasn’t great, so maybe there’s hope the wee bairns just discerning.

Thanks again folks - in classic fashion, boiler started when plumber looked at it.

Thanks folks - I’m calming down and I’ve found my long johns.

Thanks @Airhead I had no idea it was potentially a consumable part, that’s really interesting.

My angry slash exasperated post should have clarified I have pressure back to correct. Zero signs of leaves anywhere in the house. No dice on resetting boiler per instructions… just error code E133… why does this stuff only ever break on Sunday evenings? sobs

Get home from a trip to the house at 12 degrees, no water pressure in boiler and a boiler that won’t light.

Any one got any hot ideas while I have a meltdown and put off the usual phone around on a Monday to discover no plumbers are available…?

    Baxi in BR1.

Big fan of the Mühle Aloe Vera Soap - gives a nice lather and last seemingly for ever.
The Edwin Jagger soaps are good too, but come in plastic pots.

In “defending pointless statements on internet”… I’m fairly certain there’s only one person that matches this description, and I reckon his defence for lack of form is pretty bomb proof - no excuses for not riding his full guards sensible commuter though.

    Text to admonish duly sent.

Anglian actually did a good job - their sales approach almost prevented any sale from happening - but the fit and workmanship was quick and tidy. One tiny hiccup that they resolved without question within a day. All at a quarter of the price of the more upmarket options… oh and they sort scaffolds etc as part of the price.
