I roadsafed a driver entering an ASL, just to see whether it's worth it.
The responder said even though it shows the violation they would not pursue it as the chance of prosecution was so low.

Is this because you can't see that the light is red in the video, or do you think the response just code for "we can't be bothered"?

So much this. I've also had baked potatoes served in a similar fashion. Completely pointless.

They're not actually on speaker on these calls are they? I thought they recorded the inbound-line and gave the press a tape.

Yeah, I finessed mine "flat" with mole grips and a hammer. Did end up a bit like that Father Ted scene where he tries to hammer a dent out of a car.

You can take the triangle bits off and flip them around if you want to push the rack back.

I'm trying to suppres my cynicism about this. Quietly hopeful that cycle awareness courses could become widespread.

Obviously, crazy left field measures like "have enough police officers to enforce existing laws" have been omitted, but we can't have everything.

I can just about understand the twisted logic behind all the insta life-faking that people do, but selfie venues don't seem to serve any function other than raw narcissism.

I'm always baffled by drivers' accounts of cyclist altercations being so terrifying. You're in a big metal box. If you were genuinely scared you wouldn't get out. It always smells to me of "I felt like a big man behind the wheel, but when I got out my dick suddenly shrank".

Anyway, both parties have managed to come away looking like proper knobs. Two thumbs up guys.

I always find these moments bittersweet. You get a vision of what London could be like without all the cars but of course it will never happen.

Ducking under police tape feels pretty cool though.

Vine's comparison with the trenches is rather odd, seeing as WW1 trench warfare famously caused a huge amount of psychological damage, which often went untreated due to the callous and outdated attitude of senior officers.

Jazz hands thing is pretty ridiculous though.
