edscoble, the bike now has a 34-46t up front, customer wanted to buy the 94 bcd chainrings I had ordered for myself but I think this is going to work for now at least.

Dexter & russmeyer, thanks! Finnish Veloshop.fi had a discount on the frameset.

As I said, the bike is built mostly of parts I happened to have already, so NOS Suntour friction shifters & FD with a Deore M59x RD and Campy compact cranks. Brakes are Campagnolo Xenon sti-levers with shifter components removed operating TRP Spyre -calipers. Today I also got a NOS Made in USA Blackburn MTF-1 front rack, which is pretty neat.

I've usually kept fuel for a Trangia under the downtube, like so.

The frameset was on sale and this parts bin special happened. I think I'd prefer a set of old mtb triple cranks as 50/34t road compact is a bit too much for me. I still need to do some finishing touches and at least add racks & more bottle cages.

Since I got my EOS-1 I've fallen in love with the camera. I've been keeping my eyes open for a cheap full frame EOS camera body for a while now and I managed to find an old EOS-1DS for a reasonable price.

I really love the softness of the images it produces, the pictures have a certain dreamy look to them that makes the shots from my Olymus OM-D E-M5 seem sort of harsh.

Lately I've mostly been taking pictures of bikes, I'm pretty sure these were taken with a Soligor 100 mm f/3.5 from the '90's.

There is a good cheap aluminium frame builder in Poland I would recommend, it's called Mielec.

Some classic Swedish steel, a Crescent Atlet Hobocross Edition.

Such a nice bike, reminds me a bit of my old Parkpre.

Somehow I ended up buying this Gunnar Crosshairs today, it's just... perfect.

Thanks! In its previous life the bike actually had a cable steering. I only got the frameset and steering with a rod was easier to build.

Lower end of the steering tube is now the most limiting factor for cargo space, steering rod is quite high up and I haven't seen it as a problem for cargo. For carrying beer and pellets for the cat's litter box the bike is fine now.

Edit: More pics, this may be the coolest bike I've ever had.
