Hah. Letting them know might be a good idea. Not sure if there's anything better to replace it with though, maybe only CDX.
Apparently Gates is using J.I.S. type BBs.
Hey. So I somehow managed to break off the left arm of my Gates CDN S150 crankset. Thought it won't be a biggie to find a spare, but it seems that no one sells them separately and it's quite hard to find a decent substitute. The arm itself is 170mm and has no curve to it, so completely flat when laid flat. Almost all spares I can find on ebay have some sort of profile which is probably not ideal? I know it's not the most popular drivetrain in the world, but maybe someone has dealt with this or just has a suggestion? I found a few that are mostly flat, among them is a Compagnolo one that looks alright, but then read that it might not fit properly.
I'm looking at these:
Those are very interesting dropouts. How's the chain tension on it?
Beautiful frame mate
Could you please ping the pictures my way as well mate? Cheers
Hey. Looking for a frameset for my mate's commuter. He managed to break his current frame in two places... Not looking for anything fancy, but also not a complete beater. Just a decent steel frame. The idea is to put all the current components with a minimum effort. Current frame is Dawes Spectra, so the donor frame is ideally British too (or has the British threading for the BB). Track dropouts are much preferable too as it's a SS. Budget for the f+f would be around £150.
Links to eBay/Gumtree are really appreciated too. Cheers!
