The Tiagra grade shifter, rs405 if iam not mistaken is the same shape.
That's why I'm playing it safe by saying "officially" haha!
Don't know the actual reach, but 5800 is officially spec to clear 28c tyres. Where previous Shimano road calipers max out at 25c officially.
So probably would not be exactly the same.
My guess would be no hollow crank, only shaped.
Why not use the brakes from the Mtb? Especially if it's hydraulic
