  Looking for some 1" forks for a steel frame I'm gonna build up.
  Not worried about scuffs as long as they're straight
  230mm stearer if they're threaded, 250mm plus if unthreaded
  Looking for steel ideally, not much to spend,
  also i'm in Bristol so will need postage too...

  You basically get an uphill and flat/downhill gear, I couldn't give a comparison to a geared bike as I don't have one. Low gear is direct, so for me 42t/22t, high gear is +38%. Gear change is straightforward, you can change to suit as the sprocket is easily changed.
