Hi, I've replaced my current non-branded crankset, due to the non drive side arm keep falling off.. as recommended by my LBS.. With another non-branded, cheap crankset (£15).. I've noticed after the first couple of rides that the crank is now just skimming the rear stay a little bit and is to close for comfort..
Is it possible to space out the crank, so it sits a couple of mm, away from the rearstay.. Can you just purchase washers.. I've not done this before, so don't know the answer.. OR have I purchased the wrong crankset..
Thanks,
Shaun. -

I had a standard 170mm crank attached to my CRAFT single speed bike and over time this has now come lose.. So I tighten the crank arm and it still keeps coming lose, so I took it to my LBS and they said a new left hand crank would be required as it's worn down... Okay...
So I purchased myself a complete new crankset and replaced the current setup.. I've noticed that the left hand crank is also coming off s as well.. (I'm now miffed )
The only option i seem to be left with is to repalce the BB, which I believe is a standard JIS 110mm, will need to remove to double check... Any ideas on how I can resolve my issue... I thought the new crank arm would have resolved my issue.
Thanks,
Shaun.
You could be correct.. I need to identify the BB..
