Life saver, thanks. As I say I think it's the retaining clip. I haven't had a chance to properly look yet

The shift paddle retaining pin (?) of my Sram HRD lever keeps falling out. Not sure when it started. I can take the whole pin out and re insert it no problem. The end of thr pin has a recessed groove, perhaps for a retaining c clip or something.

Does anyone have any experience with it? I couldn't find a replacement pin online, maybe I'm googling the wrong thing.

I believe the older generation? There's no mention of 'race' in title, though they are the folding version.

They went through c.30km of offroad sections on the ride? That's cycling over sharp rocks/gravel/mud/grit etc. Lots of very sharp stones and bits sticking out the ground. I didn't have a chance to properly visually inspect them after the ride as we had to palm the bikes off to the courier, but they did look to be in very good condition from the brief inspection i had. There were only very small cuts, no more than 3/4mm.

Purely anecdotal, but i'm massively impressed with Pirelli P zero's (25mm). Used them for LEJOG, of which there was constant rain for 5 of the 8 days, didn't have a single puncture. That's with latex tubes as well.

Just finished on Thursday, realising i'd left my burner in a cafe after a toilet break :( typical.

Absolutely keen for a lifhtweight backpack if you do a larger run. I've just discovered i've lost my large burner at a cafe somewhere during LEJOG - if anyone wants to sell there's i'll gladly take it off your hands!

Getting the bike ready for a Lands End - John o Groats trip at the end of next week. Slightly beefier seatpost clamp to withstand the weight of a bag, and to add a bit of colour. Pirelli P Zero's are a bit of a wild card. They inflate up to 29mm across on these rims, and are plenty comfortable, fingers crossed they survive the journey, and I can use them for the rest of summer.

Toying with the idea of installing a aero ti seatpost from ebay.

Bike is 8.1kg as it stands.

    Excuse the poor picture.

Go Pro wheels back from truing, Pirelli P zero's fit, ready for Lands End next week. Bike rides really beautifully, am tempted by one of those aero titanium seatposts that you see on ebay. As it stands, the bike weighs 8.1kg without lights/computer. It's snappy but not rapid up the hills.
