    Mercian frames always did that...

All frames have a drilled crown for brake fitment unless specifically required without, but we will need a written letter of confirmation that it is for track use only.

There's not a travel/hardcase for an Evade that I've missed, is there? Or recommendations on a general case that would fit?

Mine is about 11.5" from the floor which meets newports 11" minimum. They say 165mm cranks though, and I've got 170mm. Would that make a huge difference to the minimum necessary BB height?

Bb height is centre of the bb axle to the ground - 165mm cranks for the lower bb limit of 11 inches. You're >12mm clear of that so I'd expect you can add that to your crank length.

pretty close to being 'track legal'

Kind of binary here, either it is or it isn't. Where do you think you're falling short?

I've just taken my Bob Jackson to LVV for the first time. Previously I've used the Condor hire bikes. So it was steel instead of Alu, slacker geo, more rake, track drops instead of compact road bars... Obviously felt totally different but because it was MY bike I was more comfortable and could throw it round the banking better.

As for the faff, it's mostly making the bike spotless. Cleaning all around the lugs, immaculate drive train and tyres - they obviously don't want people leaving crap on their track.

Finally took old Bob to LVV to ride the boards instead of HHV tarmac this morning. Was so much nicer to use my own instead of the hire bikes.

Also been using creatine but only for 2 weeks so too early to tell. Still trying to figure out if creatine is a waste of time...

Plenty of science behind it but for what you're doing creatine supplements probably don't help much. Creatine is used in the body's energy systems for very short, explosive movements. I would imagine you're more likely working within the anaerobic glycolysis energy system where the limit is lactic acid build up rather than the amount of instant power you create.
As you've just started circuit training you'll have your newb adaptations anyway whilst the creatine loads into your system, which will make comparing on/off creatine impossible to tell. I'd leave the creatine for 12 weeks or more then introduce it to see if there is a worthwhile difference.
