I guess that's not too bad and doesn't add much time to the set up swap really.
I went with 10 speed and use a dura ace bar end shifter for my road set up with a xt rear derailleur and then a xt mtb shifter on my flat bar. Literally just plug and play for both set ups!

This is precisely what I've done with my CDF.
I now have two set ups, one drop bar set up with brakes, shifter, stem all attached still and one flat bar set up of the same, for when I want to go touring or longer distance on it.
They both use the same cassette and rear derailleur which is handy!
Caad 9 CX is my fave for sure.
I love my stigmata but honestly wish it had guard mounts...
