Great to see people cracking on with things without too much hesitation!

Dude, don't beat yourself up about it. Totally get the frustration though. You needed the work done, the people doing it turned out to be arseholes but they're gone now. At least you challenged them which may mean something for them later.

Got the bloody door in. Had to cut and plane down the width of the wooden frame quite a bit to fit the hole in the concrete wall. Some might question our choice of door but it's a 60s house and all the other doors look like this so the goal was to keep it looking reasonably original.

We recently went through a re-org which was heavily scrutinised so as to not discriminate. Then we had an independent assessment

Sounds great. What do you/where do you work if you feel like telling?

Not really what you were looking for but interesting all the same. I'll let you know if he thinks of any other resources.

It is interesting! Although perhaps not surprising. And thank you.

Smacked on a piece of skirting as a barrier/mould and poured some concrete in (after caulking the edges). Got it reasonably level plus the door should cover up most of the places where it doesn't look very good.

I'm going to put a door in an opening between the hallway and what I hope will be a spare/guest room. Discovered there's quite a slope for some reason.

Thanks, I'll have a look at these. What I need is something to jog the minds of a room full of predominantly white doctors. They're used to being sceptical about everything they're told and to being right about things, so the presentation preferably needs to be fairly sciency and from a source they can grasp, to get them on board. For example there was an animated video about unconscious bias by the royal society which would have been perfect except it didn't go into race specifically and was a bit short.
