Off to Box Hill today for the first time. Need a quiet long relaxing ride to get over the last few days. I have been overwhelmed by the support from this site and if anyone is off work like me today then meet you at the top of Box Hill around 10.30!!! -

Ellen here!!! Thanks to Velocio I regained some of my confidence as he rode part of the way home with me; so, no worries Stonehedge it will take more than this to put me off!! Cuts, bruises and aches all taken care of thanks to the staff at the hospital where I work. Been back on the bike commuting today and got a swim in. Sore, but recovering. Thanks for all of your support I'm very touched. Flowers on their way to a lovely lady at a nearby restaurant who helped and driver has offered to pay for a replacement set of cycling shoes which were damaged. There are some genuine drivers out there! Safe cycling everyone!
Having screamed abuse about feeling sorry for myself I arrived in the beautiful tranquil setting of Box Hill. Truely stunning. I am an avid sportswomen and NOTHING will stop me but maybe an outburst was needed to recognise I'm human! Happy cycling everyone; we only have one life so may as well live it!
