Some optical illusion like the floating ships a few weeks ago.

Most people will get it, and get on with their lives without much to talk about

Which is why it is important that those that have no reaction talk about it as much as those that do. If those of us impatiently for the call only hear tales of woe they will be less likely to have the jab.

Would they rather someone digs a fence post hole right next to their foundations?

Does the fence bang when closed or rattle in the wind generating vibrations that transmit into the house?

    Good point, well made.

You could fit the cheapest-possible fire rated doors, then replace with originals after building regs inspection.

What happens if you then have a fire and some sort of inspector starts digging? Could you end up uninsured?

You can't see Big Ben from street level and when I went up the tower I wasn't allowed to take a bag so probably not a bike too.

understand that they all need replacing (or treating) due to fire regulations

We got away with radio linked smoke alarms in all habitable rooms. Loads of PP3 batteries.

I'm now on the twice-weekly kids at school lateral flow testing regime so I'm quite used to them but I'm not really sure if I'm swabbing correctly. Kind of wish there was more feedback for that step.

The ability of UK cops to use weapons appropriately is dubious too. When tasers were brought in they were for protecting life as a less lethal alternative to guns. Now they have been fairly widely deployed they get fired into the back of people running away who are suspected of carrying small amounts of drugs.

Yes. I have something like that in my kitchen (came with the house). Also two bins, I think 64l. We have a normal drawer above it. The bins are useful, I'd spec one if I was putting in a new kitchen. We use the front one for general black bag waste and the back one for recycling (no need for further sorting where we are).
