Just got a pixel 6, daaamn it's heavy! It's like a slab of iron, It's gonna wipe out marginal gains. It's too big for me really but I think I can live with it, really nice phone overall, I'm coming from a pixel 2. I knew the 6 would be bigger but I wasn't expecting the neutron star density. I feel like a giant when I go back on my pixel 2.

I've been living in a seriously hilly area for the last 6 months doing daily school runs so I switched from my fixed to my 1x10 MTB. Prior to this I rode almost exclusively fixed for many years. Getting back on geared/freewheel I've rediscovered the joy of downhills and realised that's probably the worst part about riding fixed for me.
After months riding geared I started to wonder if I was done with fixed, I'm 45 and gears were feeling like a luxury. I eventually dared to take the fixed out again on the hills and it felt great, so much fun, descents still sucked a bit though. So, I still love fixed and will probably keep doing it until that changes (or my knees pack in). I do plan to treat myself to a nice geared bike at some point though.

New desk if off the list for now but I definitely need a new chair, I've just moved house and I'm currently sat on a packing box. My budget is around £300 - £500, with the lower end being preferable. I'm looing for all the usual adjustability, lumbar support etc. I'm 6'4". I really like the look of the Steelcase Series 1/2. 2ndhnd also have a load of Steelcase Leap V1s (£250 ish) which I think are probably better chairs but don't look as good. What's the deal with 2ndhnd? Are the chairs decent? I know they're refurbished but I'm worried about how thrashed they are. I guess for the price, even if it only lasts me a year or so I'd be doing okay.

So I'm moving back to the UK and have signed up with Virgin, the rental we are moving to is already hooked up so it seemed the easiest option, just need a router sending out. Virgin were super attentive right up until they'd got my order and then they couldn't give a shit, it was endless dead end chat bot loops and phone calls that go nowhere. Then I remembered that I despised them, can't believe I fell for it again. I think I have 14 days to cancel right? What are some decent alternatives, Zen? They're quite a bit more expensive, is it really worth the extra? I'm not in London.

I'm considering getting a standing desk but having never used one before I'm wondering whether it's worth it. Would I be better off buying a standard better quality desk than a cheap standing one. What's the stability like on the flexispots? I've watched a few wobbly YouTube reviews. My current desk is an ancient IKEA Jerker (yep that's what it's called) but it's absolutely solid so I don't think I'll be able to deal with moving to something flimsy. I'm reluctant to switch it really but I'm looking for something a bit more compact.
Did you keep yours? In a way I kind of like the weight, it feels substantial. I guess the screen and bigger battery account for the weight, stuff must be so tightly packed in.
