Hi, does anyone know of a reputable place that recycles or disposes of digital cameras/electronics? I've got an ancient, working Fuji finepix to get rid of. I could probably eBay for a few quid but seems a faff.

I've had a hardware itch for years now. I've been very tempted by a Digitakt but being a Live user I think I've finally decided on a Push 2. £520 is the best price I can see online, is that about right? Sadly Thomann is a no go now, cos Brexit. Also they seem to hold their value second hand, looking at around £400-£450. Any suggestions for best deals?

Thought I'd just update on my Virgin situation. I gave my 30 day cancellation notice and outbound retentions called the following day. Got my monthly bill down to £29 from £60 ish, but jeez, they make you work for it. Despite my efforts I couldn't get them to drop an extra £1.01 to give me a new customer equivalent price though. Ha, fuckers. I'm happy though, just wish it was a fairer process/model.

    Thanks for the advice

whatever you do - don't fuck it up by changing provider

Ha! the nagging voice in my head. When I read about the nightmare experiences some people have with their broadband I think I'm okay paying the price I'm on. I've never had to worry about the service, we have the occasional 15min drop out and have had a couple of bigger outages in all the years but other than that it just works. Seeing all the new customer deals gets me going though.

This sounds a bit dense, but having never switched I don't even really know the process. Do I just call Virgin and say I want to cancel, what if they call my bluff? I guess I need a viable alternative that I'd actually be willing to move to.

What would be the closest equivalent to a 100mb Virgin line? I'm guessing it would be 100mb FTTP, that's what I've been looking at anyway.

Thanks for all the input and advice.

Yeah it's price, we're out of contract and really struggling to get a good offer from them. It's slowly creeping to £70/month. I've been onto retentions numerous times, and currently trying through their complaints department but they seem very reluctant to make a decent offer. My bargaining skills must be a bit rubbish. We've been with them since before they were Virgin so they probably know I can't really be bothered to switch.

Thanks for the replies, I've just checked the Zen pricing again, I guess it's not too bad, £49 for 100mb and phone. Vodafone are offering the same for £25 which seems suspiciously cheap. No hyperoptic in my area unfortunately. I think I will have to wait until after lockdown anyhow. I can't risk downtime, working from home and wife is remote teaching everyday. Are ISPs even doing installations at the moment?

I'm trying to to move away from Virgin. What are my options for fibre (FTTP)? I'm looking at EE, BT, Vodafone and Zen. I've been with Virgin for years and it's alway been fairly stable so I'm quite worried about moving and ending up with a flakey service from a new provider. Does anyone have any experience with those providers above? Before researching this it was going to be a no brainer and go with Zen, but they're looking quite expensive and many of their recent reviews are surprisingly poor.

Ah sorry, I misunderstood, fair enough, these vids do all seem to be hours long too. I was just baffled by my mate, who felt so strongly about it and was seemingly trying to persuade me yet hadn't actually watched them. I was also miffed I'd wasted 40mins watching just to tear it down. I asked him to stop in the end.

YT videos they fwd me with out watching

What is with this? I have a mate who spammed me all through the first lockdown with vids. When I point out some major bs in a particular video he replied "oh I don't know, I didn't watch it"

    More fool me, ffs.
