Campagnolo Record 10 Speed Shifters
Looking for a set of these, ideally a pre QS version. It's a last attempt to cure some indexing woes that are driving me nuts. (see long winded explanation below if interested!)
Would need posting though as I'm in Edinburgh. Many thanks for any help.
Admitting failure curing indexing woes with my current shifters. Shifters are the decent Centaur
type from ca. 2004-2006 with same mechanism as Chrous and Record. Have never been able to get cable tension to index properly going up and down cassette. There's a tiny window that's about right, but have to compromise chain position on a couple cogs. Have tried everything... different mechs, shifter service, and comprehensive suggestions from Velotech to ensure minimise friction and properly set up. Have been told there are different spring types in rear mechs - weaker/stronger -and also small changes made to right shifter internals that can cause exact issue I'm having if mismatched. I just got a NOS 2004-2008 version Record mech, as told Chorus/Record mechs should always use stronger spring type. Still same problem. Hoping some Record shifters might solve it. If anyone has any advice on which version (Carbon BB, 10 Ultra, QS) might offer best compatibility to resolve, that'd be fantastic. Cheers.
