Hope all you people had a good ride, I passed you going the other way on the leg between the Level crossing and Faversham, having already been to Margate and back, everyone seemed to be going well.

Box Hill has had a new surface recently making it even easier, its all a similar gradient so you should be fine, theres also a bike shop in the village if you need spares.

I did this last year, well organised and well signposted. Big mixture of roads but watch out for a very tight turn as you come down Goudhurst hill about 15 miles from the end.

I was up in Snowdonia a few weeks ago but based in Llanberis, coming from the South East I didnt quite realise how few roads there actually are and you see the same riders about every twenty miles. Although I was riding gears I can recomend the roads around Bedgellert, although its a hike down the A5 from Betws Y Coed the road from Bedgellert to Caernarfon was very light on traffic and a good mixture of descents and rideable climbs.

I went out in Surrey at Headley, no barriers, stewards not interested and stood at the tea hut. Hundreds of spectators where I was and all the cyclists stored their bikes out of the way without being asked, and at the end the police let us ride out. Shows that all these restrictions are unecessary and much better organisation than I was expecting.

Car up! ... oh wait, that's the wind ...

Certainly my favourite moment of the day, closely followed by the comments about how the mullet was clearly in fashion throughout Kent.

Likewise, really enjoyed it, particularly the bit along the sea front at Seasalter. Glad that everyone made it through the Medway Towns alive. @Jaitch, if you want to go for a Medway ride drop me a PM.

@jaitch maybe a tad optimitic don't know how fast they will ride so may get a bit later and just wait. Every weather forecast says something different but I'm going on what Kaddy says and packing a rain jacket.
