Woken up...checked the BBC Football site...it really happened!

Best game I think I’ve ever seen at Carrow Road. Despite an incredibly long injury list we beat them and did it playing football with no shithousing.

So proud of the team, and so pleased for Farke. Now for Burnley and Palace away...

My thought too, but apparently it's a no.

Can she get him along to a store to see how the iPad looks and works with a keyboard cover? It sounds like an ideal fit for the use case, and sometimes it just needs someone to see it looks like a laptop to get them off the idea of 'I don't want a tablet' - they're not stupidly cheap to purchase, but they really are a lovely size and should last for years without getting clogged up.

Would suggest somewhere like John Lewis, where it doesn't feel too 'tech-y' - we just picked one up from there as they had an offer on the keyboard cover, got the 64GB iPad Air and cover for £550.

If it really is a no, how about the MacBook Air? I'm still using my mid-2012 model for design work so even that would be over the top for email and browsing!

Well at least I can say I’ve been to Crawley, another ground ticked and one more to come on Saturday at West Ham - haven’t done two ticks in a week for years!

    ...it will be bare wires...

Read a tip somewhere (may have been AV Forums) that suggested avoiding this where possible when routing cables and using conduits all the way as all it takes is an inquisitive rat/mouse/creature and you have to do it all again.

Thanks both. May turn the power off and take a look before committing myself fully! House was built in 2007 and only had a few owners so I'd hope not too much has been meddled with...

Light switches and plug sockets...to change them it's a case of turning power off, taking old ones away from the wall and noting which wires go where, switch to new ones with wires in corresponding places, putting them back in the wall and turning the power back on...right?

I should be able to do this all myself, yes? It's not something that needs a qualified electrician?

Treated myself to a 2018 MacBook Air to replace my mid-2012 version...went for refurbished again as it’s a nice and easy way to save some cash, c.15% in this case which makes AppleCare+ effectively free.

It arrived eleven days ago. Trying to log into a website today and it’s not working. Took a while to work out what was happening...the bloody keyboard is failing!

Booked into the Apple Store tomorrow, but have a feeling I’ll be simply returning it for a refund and hope they fix it with the rumoured refresh later this year.

    So disappointed!

One of the nicest men at football, but I have honestly never enjoyed going to football at Carrow Road less than the last year he had with us - week after week of hearing how the opposition (anyone) had players who could hurt us and then watch us line up for a draw or nick a 1-0 win at best...and that was the home games!

If he does end up at The Hawthorns I’m sure he’ll get promotion, but be ready to explain to people* that don’t watch full matches why you’re not happy with what you’ve got going.

    • Lineker after we sacked him...’what do they expect down there?!’ - sod off!

Fair play to Villa, guard of honour post match along with letting us enjoy the celebrations.
