It’s probably worth getting down to below 40pc loan to value because the mortgage rates tend to be lower.

There can be situations where the deposit rate is higher than the mortgage rate. Eg currently Hsbc is 1.79pc mortgage, atom is 2.3pc 2 year fixed deposit. So pretty much risk free gains to be had. Borrowing money to speculate on the stock market is effectively what most people do with pension contributions but it depends how stressful it would be and whether you can hold your nerve when the next market crash happens.

Sickening and shocking but given the driving standards not surprising.

Is it not as simply as speaking to the DVLA registered owner of the vehicle and see if they match the driver or explain who was driving? Or am I missing something.

The rules around IR35 are so vague and open to interpretation I don’t think there is such thing as a definitive answer. HMRC has recently been defeated in the courts and told it is interpreting its own rules incorrectly.

In effect it’s whether you are in reality an employee (Employment rights, wage the same, working practice the same, etc) or a dispensable resource used on an ad hoc basis by your client/s. If you don’t have the benefits of being an employee why would you go inside IR35.

Watched the David Attenborough documentary last night, and what struck me is that we each need to be responsible for our own carbon output and how we can individually reduce it. One idea for how I can help is trying to get more people onto renewable energy so below is the referral link for bulb, which you might have seen, or already be on. But a slight twist I’ll also give you my referral bonus, so you’ll get £100 as well as cheaper and renewalable energy

Looks stunning and nice work with the snaps. I’ve got the same frame but haven’t ridden it as much as I should

If you’ve got costs in Eur the best way to pay is through a Curve Card (which gives you the MasterCard daily rate without commission) and link it to a Tandem credit card so you get cashback

I wouldn’t leave money in there that would have a big impact if you lost it.

Your money is not protected in Revolut.

They are not covered by the Uk gov guarantee up to 85k due to not having a Uk banking licence. Saying they keep it with a tier 1 institution is like anyone else saying they keep the money you’ve lent them in a bank.

They claim to have a European banking licence but due to the legal complications this does not actually mean much.

I still use it to transfer cash but try to get in and out as quick as possible. Storing cash in Revolut is a risky strategy.
