Is it on tomorrow? Chain gang or "proper" training?

Riders need to talk constructively a bit more and bitch a bit less. We've all been involved in those discussions where we stand around going "fark me....the guy on the felt with the Italian flag jersey was sketchy as fark" after the session.

Maybe someone needs to work out what exactly it is he's doing wrong and go and tell him how to improve.

Having said that I told some fella once to stop standing on the pedals during rotation (into the wind on corner 3, on the inside line.....fucker kept coming back to my wheel every time he stood up) the guy just didn't really buy what i was saying. Almost didn't believe that he was causing a problem and I was left with "all right mate. whatever. maybe ask a coach if you don't believe me".

First time I've been on the track with the lights. A bit disconcerting at first. On the points race around the banking I kept thinking i was getting swamped as I could see the shadows of other riders coming around me.

    It was my shadow.

this looks like fun but i wonder if the title is a little misleading - I initially thought that you were after actual top class riders.....

...when in actual fact i qualify on two accounts, regardless of how crap I am.

Will there be team pursuits? that'd be ace.

until you get Cancellara's 2010 bike you'll never witness the dynamics of a fast ride skydancer ;-)

    1. Good practice for rear riders to move (right) before front riders when changing lane to claim the space and prevent anyone overtaking as the group move over

Something to be aware of here is everyone moving too far right on narrower roads and being dangerously *UNDER*taken. A line of riders on the middle line of a busy carriageway waiting to turn across speeding traffic while traffic speeds inside them feels a bit shit.

There i was worried about the Dulwich boys using their numbers in the scratch race. A couple of the college kids weren't bad either but they seemed to just go hell for leather from the gun.

Lead rides? Sounds heavy. There I was stressing about my steel ride.

That wouldn't go down well with the short-fused drivers around here. Like I said, my answers are based on my own experience of these situations, and I already acknowledged that others' experiences may be different...

Never been on an LFGSS ride so not sure of dress habits but perhaps more casually dressed folk communicating nicely with drivers behind (ie a good, dedicated, smiling sweeper) is less likely to upset motorists than team kit lycra folk with their eyes down on their SRM doing through and off. Just a thought.

The question needs to be asked though - is it right that you sacrifice your own safety so as to not piss off a motorist? I'd reckon you'd get fewer punctures on rides where you weren't constantly moving left into the shit that accumulates on the sides of roads.
