I was in the same situation. Called virgin and they agreed to a one month rolling contract on the same price as I had been paying during the contract period. Meant I didn't need to mess around with getting a new broadband provider and could still cancel with 1 month notice

Am Bristol based, and the Ashton Court bike park is quite close, so could use their pressure washer. I think it's a quid for only 60 seconds though...

I figured I'd ask this question here, but let me know if it's dealt with in another thread.

So, I'm possibly going to be moving to a flat which is perfect except it has no outside space or garage etc. As most MTB rides (in the UK) need to end with a bike wash, any tips for a magic solution to this conundrum? At the moment all I can think of is stashing my portable jet wash somewhere local before the ride (maybe cable locking it to something) so it's ready when I get back. Or possibly leaving it in the hallway of the flat.

Thanks. Yes, the signalling right thing was what I remember. Main reason I favour a cross top lever on the LHS. Don't think I can do the same with a drop bar lever, though, being habituated to it on the RHS on road bike.

With a road fixed to people generally set up the front brake lever on the same side as on their road bike (i.e. on the right hand side, for most in the UK)?

Thanks. Yes, I spoke to HMRC today and they said HMRC should get in contact at the end of the year to send me a bill for tax on savings interest (that they've been notified about). I've never received anything in previous years.

Seems surprising having a system where it's your responsibility to tell them. Could be open to abuse.

I've got some savings in a Chase account and a Vanguard General Account. The interest is over the personal allowance. What's the mechanics of how the tax gets paid? I think with UK banks they tell HMRC but with these is it reliant on me proactively telling HMRC?

Sturmey Archer looks to be 130. This is for a road fixed. Will see if I can find a sugino rd2.

What are views on the Sturmey Archer chainset? This is for a budget build. I don't remember them as a brand last time I built a fixed gear and so don't have any sense of their quality.

It felt like there were more cars inside the park today that the surrounding suburban areas. Better riding to be had if you head out a bit and pick quiet roads.
