Just spent far too long reading through this thread...the rate of posts concerning stolen bikes is pretty shocking. I am unaware of the scale of bike crime in Glasgow...I am sure it is not great, but from experience we have a large population of idiots willing to just kick the fuck out of a parked bike.
It was nice hearing the few times a bike has been recovered, and sorry to anyone that never got theirs back...cunts -
Conclusion: The bike arrived and unfortunately the frame was smaller than expected. I put it together though and it seemed pretty solid and pinky lifting light, decent paint job as well!
There was a slight issue with the brakes, but other than that the size of the frame was the only thing that troubled me!
Dani has paid for the return delivery as well as a full refund (Due to the fault being the stated frame size). I think there is a lot of bad press going out there for pretty unreasonable reasons. The guy is clearly willing to sort out any issues with purchases.
I don't know what the mechanics are all about...I seemed to have missed an entire chapter! Fortunately though they are not dealing with new customers, and for that reason I would be confident to buy from them again...although maybe next time I am in London I will try it on first!

A full discount - you mean he is giving you a free bike for promoting his company! - my how i look forward to reading your unbiased opinions.
I think Dani Foffa really need to tell the Macpherson fuckwits to do one if he ever wants to make a go of his business, as he seems to have the right intentions but the wrong advisors.
Hmm...yes, that should have read refund. Keeping up with all this crap has melted my brain.

roffle, dani foffa is gonna love this if he doesn't already know
He knows, he just emailed me to clear some stuff up, as I appeared to be worried about the bike I just bought. He also offered me a full discount if I wasn't happy with it.
The guy has been entirely professional as of yet, and I am gonna withhold judgment on this bike and his company until I get a look myself.

Hey,
Pretty quick to assume the worst here?
I just bought that blue/red bike from ebay. Dani (who has been very helpful so far) asked me if I would be interested in spreading the word in Glasgow for commission.
Not a bad idea being that I will have a bike to demo (providing the bike is worth a demo!)
I will hopefully get it before Friday. I'm sure you will all be interested to know how well it rides...and I can tell you that I am not filled with confidence after reading this Forum.
Just got an email telling me to look at this thread again...christ!
Some of you guys are hard to win over are you not?!
This thread seems to be pretty influential, so maybe try out his frame before ruining him.
