Add this to the froome leaving rumour and it suggests ineos had told froome he would not be given leadership and so he quit.

And none of these people have gotten furloughed or unemployed. They are doing office jobs remotely from their kitchen tables. Bankers, lawyers, accountants etc..

This explains part of it. Lots of cashed up people.

The IFS said it took an income of about £100,000 to be considered among the top 1% of high earners in Wales, the north-east and Northern Ireland. However, in London it was more than £300,000 a year.

In a sign of the extreme levels of wealth in the capital, it said a 50-year-old man in London with an income of £160,000 would earn enough to be in the top 1% for the rest of the country, but would not even be in the top 5% of men living in London.

Yes, I moved from bt to sky recently. Switching from a 3-4yr old bt box to the current sky one definitely improved things. I hesitated before making the switch because apparently sky sets its network up differently from most other broadband suppliers, so if you want to use your own modem it is not straightforward. But as it happens the standard sky box works well (in my victorian brick wall flat).

He must have slammed into the kerbstone by the side of the road at some velocity. He seems lucky not to have his season ruined, let alone finish second

In summer 2005 I set myself the target of running a sub-40min 10k and a sub 1:30 half. Over the years my enthusiasm for this has waxed and waned and the closest I have ever gotten was about 40:30 and 1:32 about eight years ago.

15 years have passed since I set those objectives and now I find myself on the wrong side of 40, so if I am ever going to hit these times it needs to be this year. Is this at all realistic?

Edit: today's run for some context of how I am going at the moment.

Boris has pulled off the republican culture war tactics. For American flyover states that are poorer and very pro republican you have post-industrial northern Britain.

The Democrats are heavily a party of the coastal elites. Labour is a party of metropolitan elites.
