I have for a 10 day trip around Holland. I just rocked up to a town and started calling people which was a bit hit and miss. I think for best results, it would be best to book ahead. The hosts where generally lovely. The standard breakfast of boiled egg and dark bread did get tiresome after a while though as everyone seems to serve the same thing.

Thanks ffm and @Wouter. I'll take it to my LBS and see what they say.

I did that in reverse a couple of years ago. I don't have a specific route but I can recommend the section of http://www.viasverdes.com/mapas_en.asp going west out of Girona and the bit going into San Sebastian.
There's also an old edscoble thread that details a route through the west part of the Pryennes (going into France if I remember correctly)...

I bought a new bike for my daughter which has 14" wheels. The bike arrived with approx 1mm wobble in both wheels. I've never dealt with small wheels before so I don't know if they run as true as 26"/700c wheels. The (online) shop is trying to fob me off with "wheels are within tolerance" response. Anyone have similar experience with wheels not being true?
And I guess as a follow up question, is it any harder to true a small wheel than true a full sized one?

While the Trail gator/follow me seems like the better option, I have successfully secured the front wheel of my daughters bike to the rear pannier rack of my bullitt using an inner tube. The trick I've found is to get the tyre higher on the side of the rack and loop around the handlebar at least once. Oh and allow time to secure it as it is a bit of a faff. HTH

Is this all since Brexit? Time was and you just rolled on and off, no questions asked... which was one of the many benefits of taking the ferry.

Just to counter-balance the above, I have an Alfine 11 Di2 controlled hub and it's miserable. I have to adjust it every 10/14 days (~70km) or so, otherwise gears 5 & 7 slip. In fairness, the fix is just pressing some buttons on the Di2 display unit but on a manually controlled unit I can imagine a huge headache. I don't change gears under power (though I do share the bike with my wife who might be less kind on it) and service it when required. It started happening almost immediately, after maybe 400/500km of riding. The 1000km service did nothing to help.
There's been some chat about Alfine 11 on the cargo bike thread and like the above, some people have had positive experience and some (who seem to work on cargo bikes as mechanics) have not. YMMV.

Thanks very much! I had assumed a cold wallet was the way to go but yes, I guess it will depend upon the exchange/currency.
