Ah no! Well I don’t think it’s down to them to check the frame for potential issues. It’s gonna need a repair (probably new chainstay) and it’s gonna be messy. Also bob Jackson are closing for the foreseeable.

Happy to let my donohue road frame go for $$$z

My knee clicks/clunks almost every time I take a step and also doing it when i ride. Any ideas what I need to stretch? I know this may be impossible to diagnose on this basic explanation but just interested if anyone has had something similar. Really puzzling and annoying - not really much pain but feels awful.

Sounds like a classic cunt. Well done for handling it without losing your shit! 💪🏻

Re pumps. Just buy in some cheap shit Old school zefal type pumps . Sell them for a tenner a pop (London price?) and let them have what they want. Better than no sale.... £30 for a PUMP?!?! Etc

Regarding this, has anyone got a copy of a good returns policy? After all, there is no obligation to accept a return or offer a refund unless the item is faulty right? Tried to write one up for the shop I work in but couldn’t get the wording right and wanted to make sure it was in line with rules and legislation etc. Basically, no returns unless we’re legally obliged to.

I wouldn’t have chosen the custom lugs either but yeah, can’t argue that the paint doesn’t suit the lugs.

I think hydro disc is 100x better than rim brakes, but calipers definitely “add character” and are adequate on a summer bike. If I was going full custom (this frame was one that a customer never paid for/collected that fit me) I reckon I would go disc (I’m heavy and Yorkshire is hilly) the ride is a perfect balance between my gravel bike, and my old donohue road bike, (all 3 are 853 with carbon fork)

I genuinely expect this will be the last project, aside from adjustments to existing fleet I’m set. So happy I finally have your approval

@jambon custom steel with bigger tyres (not too big mind) is the answer to all your Sunday best questions. I won’t be selling this but if you fancy one of your own you can contact me at Woodrups 😉
