There is no gap in the bartape, it's double Cinelli colourful camo foam inner + perforated outer stuff, on which the colourful camo foamy stuff sticks out on one side, giving a sneak peek of how ugly it would look when wrapped the other way ;)
Happy with the result, quality components. If it would have been a personal build instead of for a friend I would have slammed the stem and maybe fitted a bit wider bars.

finished this Klein Quantum Race with SRAM Red 10 speed today, not bad at 7.2 kg incl. pedals. The original fork was a bit damaged, this Columbus item is a nice (and much lighter) replacement.
No idea yet, he was supposed to stay until end of next season.
He was such a promising rider in his Lotto days, indeed. Makes me wonder why DSM are so confident/rigid in their approach to rider development as it doesn't seem to pay off that much and riders seem to get unhappier instead of better.
