wouldn't recommend using filler anywhere else on the bike though mind!

filler may well crack/drop out (it didn't on the frame I did the fill on) but I imagine it ain't worth paying someone to braze a cheapo frame unless you know someone or know how to do it yourself, otherwise you may as well buy a new frame IMHO. It's a cheap solution to a fairly unimportant aesthetic issue.

i did something similar - if the frame's being hand sprayed (not powder coated) then car body repair filler should do the job. couple of applications sanding between each application.

i have to offer a severe warning to anyone using or thinking of buying a 705. I was heading along Euston Rd to the start of the London>Oxford ride when I managed, with a very light touch, to knock the unit off it's mounting (crappy plastic thing it is) and before I could get off my bike and pick it up two cars had driven over it and it was completely destroyed. As far as i know the unit was fully clicked-in to the mounting, so just be aware and maybe improvise some extra security before you set out... like gaffer tape the f**king thing. Luckily my 4gb micro SD card survived the crushing and the unit itself was covered by my home contents insurance...
