Anyone installed something like these recently - https://www.sebson.de/en/einbauleuchten/mounting-frame-type-5_572_1457 ?

The ones I have are the same model as linked but don't have the reassuring class 2 symbol on the sticker as pictured on the website. I will probably send them back but thought I would ask.

Some close family had the same deal late last year- after lots of searching they concluded there were no good savings options if you need access in the short/medium term (0.1 or 0.2% interest).

Think they spread it into a few accounts because it felt more secure, but you should be legally protected for up to £1mil by regulations for 12 months after a house sale (above the usual £85k or whatever it is).

Anyone know if new Arkose's will pop up in the coming weeks?

    Good luck with your entry.

I guess everyone that has done an 'ultra' is doing there first at some point, so as an organiser you might have in mind to have a percentage of first timers in the field. Hopefully they will look at broader cycling experience as well, not just if you have completed an event beginning with 'trans'.

I think there were 30 riders for the first event in 2019, and less last year due to the self sufficient element. I imagine they will want to be growing the event to some extent but at the same time they won't want to go too big. Somewhere between 40 and 60 riders on the start line seems feasible to me, no idea though really(?)

    Makes sense.

Just completed by entry for GBDURO, fingers crossed etc.

Right. Done. Third times a charm etc. A brilliant and ridiculous challenge.

Yesterday's cyclocross stage meant I'd shredded my front disc pads so had to call on the summer bike to get over the line today. Was a nice treat but I'll be glad to get back to mudguards and disc brakes soon.

Well done to everyone that is there, best of luck to those still chasing. Stay safe.

Well, this mornings snow almost had me scuppered. Luckily touring bikes and gravel king slicks can achieve almost anything so I was able to hastily put together a largely off road, snow safe route and clocked up another 65km without ever being more than 3km from home. Lots and lots of laps, felt like I was in a one man cyclocross distance competition (attempts at Pidcock style bike slings and all). All good fun waving to the same dog walkers for the 3rd, 4th, 5th times etc.

85km to go technically, 125 according to Strava thanks to the phone dieing on the 24th. Got a plan to slay the beast tomorrow, might make up the "missing" kms if feeling strong.

I really like them as an alternative to a liner glove. These are the hardshell waterproof version with a standard winter glove underneath. No problem at all on the brakes, and I have bar end shifters which makes life easier as well. I think they could work with STI levers but would take a bit more getting used to.

Couple of inches of snow on the ground here, options being considered.
