Yeah, the road it is on is not on street view and the owner wasn't exactly fulsome in his reply when I ask about access although that could be for a number of reasons. There are nice houses on that street though. There would be a lovely view and, at the same time, you'd still be close to the town's amenities, such as they are. The walls look thin for an area in which traditionally walls are incredibly thick; and the roof that is visible looks like corrugated metal/asbestos. I just like dreaming. I would do my share of the onsite labour-time and pull my weight in other ways (spanish/local knowledge/admin). @c.h.e. southern europe is said to be destined to being uninhabitable in the near future cos of climate change. I probably would avoid in july-august.

I want to buy somewhere cheap by the sea on the granada coast. I saw this. A town I know a little in an area I know pretty well. It is, shall we say, sleepy and rough around the edges. However it is on four absolutely stunning rides, either into the hills or along the quiet coast road, and it’s as cheap as I could find, even then it would be too much for me to take on alone. Anyone with building skills wanna go twosies? It needs some work(!) Maybe the price is negotiable, currently it is 19,000€

i feel that the ‘fall’ of high ranking tories is not even that big a deal; it’s priced in! they do so well and make so many friends so much it’s worth the risk of disgrace. culture of impunity etc

I really thought the bbc did a good job of the hip hop doc. my only criticism is that they could have balanced the very important way it tied to the civil rights and black power movement to hip hop with more of an acknowledgment of hip hop’s multi culturalism. There was mention of the young lords, and mention that there was both caribbean and african american culture involved at the start; and there was interviews with 2(?) latino artists, but it should have been more explicit.
secondly, the crucial document that indicted the reagan regime in a conspiracy to vilify POC through the war on drugs was only shown, it wasn’t read out or described. that means this fact would have only reached a small proportion of the audience, most watching wouldn’t bother or wouldn’t be able to quickly read a text that flashes up on screen. to me that document is absolutely explicit - it was federal policy to produce a consensus against poc in america.
