Sometimes it’s that rim/tyre combo. People still seem keen to use Gatorskins.
(I’m in a similar situation and one snapped tyre lever later I’m not happy. Doesn’t help that my girlfriend has pointed out the rims are hideous plus the shop laced up shraeder valve ones for some unknown reasons so vested interest...)
I imagine he is after a less destructive method?
Oh it’s super hip hop. But hip hop functional rather than hip hop doing the dirty kanza thing extra fast.
Also...new steel? 2019/20 Trek!
I really don’t think that Trek belongs here.
Thanks, but after ones with silver levers!
That’s exactly what I was looking out! Now to find some...
I have a pair of modern ones that I’ve used (couldn’t be bothered to gut) but looking for the nicer old shape now.
Edit: that All City is delightful.
That has me thinking about looking for broken old silver campag levers to remove the shifter mechanism from.
Which Tektro levers do you use?
Solid inspiration for where my surly might end up. Except I tried a brooks on that. It did not work.
@sacredhart might be interested!
