This is a ride that a few years back I would have never missed.

Oliver's routes and rides are always fun in a way or another. Plus, what a lovely bunch in here..

Anyway, Oliver, nowadays I'm all over to leather rather than lycra, and that take predominance on everything, it's so bloody addictive. Maybe one day, if you're up, I take you on my back so that you can have a taste of it.

But for a moment I thought seriously to join...

Happy birthday, big lad. Keep doing what you're doing.

Clive, if you only could have kept a 30mph average I would have joined you with my motorbike.

Jokes apart, I saw your awesome 2000kms adventures and I want to congratulate you for this fantastic adventure of yours, really well done!

Reading that thread I saw plenty of interest and words from members of this forum, good people been very friendly to you; I'm sure some of them will be delighted to ride with you and celebrate your 60th anniversary while commemorating your most recent adventures.

Have another blast and all the best, don't stop!

I then relubricated the sides of the pistons with hydraulic fluid (mineral oil)

Wrong! Red grease, aka rubber grease!

Oh, and the stone was a proper stone! Not a sort of aged mold dried from a sun of doubtful integrity similar to a vintage swine turd.

I took the big one. The day from lovely turned out to be shit. I got with my front wheel a massive stone bigger than a tennis ball on the north circular, the bike didn't lose any stability but I got scared, then I kept riding up to the North (M1 entrance) and back. I stop for a coffee and cake and I thought better to give up speed for today, actually, I'm not a real fan anyway, I do it only because the doctor prescribed it... he says that I have to work where I'm weaker...
After feeling exonerated for today I thought now I can enjoy some proper action with the cornering, on my way to the deep east took me nothing to arrive there... (when the brain get used to speed the London traffic became a piece of cake) I start to warm up the tires and of course my sensibility and bang! No, I haven't fallen off, but plenty of rain starts to piss down on the tarmac... I stop for another coffee and cake hoping in a quick drying, but no, it just gets worse and worse. I swim back at home and now that I'm losing my time and your time on this forum the sun gets out. Good night.

Good morning, it's a lovely day for riding and I'm not sure which bike to take out.
