So after Fleurs overgrooming of her tail was found not to be for any medical reason(after a variety of treatments), we were referred to a behaviouralist.
Over the last few months Liz has been home studying more than in the office and the overgrooming has reduced massively.
The behaviouralist has put it down to a combination of boredom, attention seeking focused on Liz and a bit of hunger from the diet she was on last year(she was only a wee bit over 4kg so nothing serious).

She has an epic new toy which is a glorified version of the fishing pole type with real feathers and strict instructions on use/reward play.
She’s getting fed more(easy to deal with a chubby cat than an anxious one that’s grooming itself silly) and now has activity feeder and her food broken into tiny portions hidden around the place to get her hunting again.

She’s having fun and smug about more food. Liz back to work full time this week so expecting a relapse in the behaviour but hopefully the hunting play will help.

    She’s still a cutie tho..

A guy recently starting working with us who’s a former scaffolder is complaining about being way too hot in chainsaw trousers at the moment. He’s still in a vest or shirtless at any given opportunity to counteract not being able to wear shorts any more..
He does do a lot of blow at the weekend which might explain why he runs hot to a certain extent. We saw his mates on site putting up some poles the other day: one lad was in denim cutoffs and the traditional cropped hi-viz loved by scaffolders. No shirt, no gloves in the pissing rain at 8am.

Ah yours must be slightly different then, ours is something like 2200x1800cm so tons of space for bikes/climbing and camping gear.
Our heat unit is tucked away properly.

@dogs, assuming your flat is a similar layout to ours did you turn your utility cupboard into a bike cupboard too? I know a few on the estate did.
Commuters, incomplete rolling chassis and my tourer(not ideal) in communal bike cage. Could be better but unlike ours most of the bikes in there are left unlocked.

2x mtb + Lizzie’s tourer in utility cupboard.

At one point when I first lived with Lizzie we had 3 tandems plus all the other bikes in our lounge on the top floor of a Victorian terrace.

Have you considered rebuilding it in a slightly different guise to give it a new purpose?
Do you have much tyre clearance and could go gravel/forest riding on it?
Big basket and make a shopping bike out of it?
    Does it barspin? ;)

You might appreciate hanging onto it more if you give it a revamp. It’s very 2011 macchiato shop cruiser at the mo!

I don’t get the nitrile liner thing. So sweaty and gross it negates the warmth/need to be waterproof...

On wet days I’ll go thru 2-4 pairs of gloves(Towa powergrabs usually) as whatever you wear they’ll get wet in the end. Talcum powder and never put a wet glove back on. I’ve got at least 10 pairs on wear/wash/dry rotation at any given moment.
I just got my box of winter work gloves but still too warm f out right now.
