Any else had a problem with Frontline Plus spot on treatment on their kitty? We usually use advocat but it wasn’t available when we made an order, never had an issue with it.

The Frontline triggered a massive skin reaction and blistering on Fleurs neck overnight, causing her to rip a bunch of fur out and generally have a bad time. The vet prescribed some cream yesterday to treat it and didn’t seem too concerned but yeah. Be careful everyone!!
She’s looking a bit sorry for herself..

I was told by our neighbours not to rotovate an overgrown plot as you just chop up all the weed roots and spread them making things potentially worse next year. We were advised to hand dig each bed the first time to get as many roots out then rotovate in future.
Whether that’s old wives tales or facts I don’t know...

Mines about 8months old and looks perfect. I think inside/side wears quicker than outside. I wear gloves all day and generally abrade them one way or another and it’s been fine. Just make sure you go to someone who does a lot of hands as the techniques differ apparently or so I was told...
Can always get a top up as well if it’s a simple design.

@misspeggybrown recently moved to Bristol. She’s fucking fantastic and I love my piece from her.

Oh don’t get me wrong, I’ve crowbarred enough interesting stuff over the years as part of projects or helping people out but for some reason the idea of repurposed sports flooring never occurred to me. It’s such a great look!

I didn’t know this was a thing and now I want it!
If memory serves my primary school had an absolutely stunning parquet floor which would look ace rearranged with the painted lines at random.
Long demolished, hope someone salvaged it.

How do we go about minimising plastic-use on the allotment? So much time has been spent sieving out bits of shattered pot, old compost bags and crumbling woven plastic like those potato sacks.
Obviously growing stuff from seed instead of in pots, buying string not coated twine etc are the obvious ones but is there natural fibre netting etc? Could you grow spuds as above in hessian sacks and just chop them up when they eventually rot?
We’re aiming to reuse all the plastic pots we’ve found on site but hopefully no more.

Hmmm thanks for all the options guys! I’ve got plenty of folders so a fixed one I can just leave clipped to my overalls is ideal.
I’m gonna go with the Mora companion in pink. It’s cheap, I can treat it rough if needs be over the winter while building stuff/doing up the site.
I’ve got a really nice Benchmade Griptillian folder that just needs a really good sharpen and it’ll be perfect for harvesting etc..
