Can we have an Xmas themed race on Sat 15th Dec, I'll pm you some ideas about course, festive checkpoint tasks and getting loadsa people involved.
Make it a good laugh, with xmas fancy dress, riding in pairs, fun tasks and chikin can race :)

Derwent sounds great Ronnie, but I'll be a little on the slow side....
I'm gonna be walking quite a few hills (perhaps up and down!) and probably just averaging 10-12mph loaded up. Gonna be taking a 1 man tent, sleeping bag, roll mat, tools, jacket, stove, meths, food etc.. so not traveling too light...

Exams finish for me this week. Got some stuff to pic up from ronnie / rob on Sat, then gonna carry on out towards the peaks.
Any ideas of a good wild camping spot, quiet, nice views, out of sight, preferably reachable via not too many hills (touring on a 42 x flipflop 15/18 fixed!). Undulating is ok, bloody steep is not...
