Personally I don't really get all this 'girl's bike' stuff. Does anyone actually wear big skirts to cycle in? Only point to the slope, surely?
Yes, I've seen several women commuting in skirts. Also my 50 year old mum, as a fairweather cyclist, sometimes likes to cycle in a skirt. Furthermore for older women a step through frame is easier to mount than a diamond frame.
And when did it happen that bikes became something that girls had be made to get into by the persuasive powers of their boyfriends? Bloody hell... :)
Arriving somewhere slightly sweaty and out of breath is never the hottest way to arrive...so I'm told. Also some women find driving in London hard enough, cycling just seems suicidal. (e.g. my mum)
