I suppose it depends on what size you need, but I've got one of these for work docs and stuff.
https://www.safe.co.uk/products/yale-value-safe-office.html
It has holes accessed from inside the safe to screw into whatever you're attaching it to. I put it in a cupboard and screwed it into the wall behind. It was such a pain in the .... putting the screws in from inside the safe that I doubt I'll ever be able to remove it with the door open. I suppose with enough determination you could extract it with the door shut but it would have to be a very determined burglar.

Tacx Satori Turbo Trainer - well used over a number of years. NOT the newer smart model, it's the old one with a cable and selector to change resistance. Comes with the front wheel riser (which just holds the front wheel in place during use) and rear skewer to allow the rear wheel to be secured in the trainer.
Free to a good (or even not good) home! Forum donation appreciated. Collect in Muswell Hill or I can drop off within a reasonable distance.

Only had a test drive in one but I really liked it. Can see that the styling would be marmite. I liked the space inside, wasn't too cheap and plasticky. The one I drove had an average of 2.5m/kw but it just seems to be driven in laps around Colney Hatch Lane with people flooring it on the North Circular if they get a chance, so that probably isn't a surprise. I didn't expect to like it when I started out.

I've lurked on this thread for a while, but just wanted to say that your house is looking great, I'm a massive admirer of everything that you have done and what you are trying to achieve with it, and your photographs of the island are wonderful. This thread is a fantastic bit of escapism from a grey, wet London winter.
Thanks!

We had our car stolen off the drive two years ago. I looked into immobilisers etc then. In the end I decided against as if someone is willing to break in to steal the key (which is what happened) why would they not go further when it wouldn’t start and wake me / my wife up with a screwdriver or similar pointer at us asking if we wouldn’t be so kind as to come downstairs and start the car up...

Sorry to hijack but as the original has been dibsed I hope it's ok - If anyone fancied OP's one and missed out - I also have a Tacx turbo trainer (basic, non-smart model) going spare. Free collected in Muswell Hill.
