We are gas dependent, that wasn’t my concern.. the demand remains high even if it’s falling.. but fracking at what cost to our environment and livelihoods, what if regional industries such as farming don’t recover long term.. what if I can’t get proper Wensleydale cheese, grommit.

Sorry if this has been covered, but if this leads to wide spread environmental damage and loss of local livelihoods, etc. Can the judge that passes this ruling be held to account. I bet he would think twice, if this was wrong and he paid the price with losing his job like forever.. or do the campaigners just need a better legal bid.. also why are we as a country allowing this to happen instead of investing in renewable energy.. grrrrr

The thing is, this is very common in UAE too, where the car rules.. London ffs need less cars, instead of congestion charges.. I vote for a ban.. except when I need a Zipcar, lol

Agreed, I recall seeing loads of high level Pedways in downtown Atlanta. street level nonsense filled with parking lots, drop off zones, for hotels, shopping malls, business towers, several freeways converging, spaghetti junctions, good only for motorised vehicle traffic and fumes.. depressing thought considering it’s history as a city is as old as America it’s self..

I was just remarking on this building last week outside that cafe by clerkenwell church that cafe that does good lunches, we were soaking up the last rays of summer.. i'm not a fan of the structure, but islington planning should be in the dock over this..

For @Oliver Schick not Freudian slips but spooneristic quotes and bits of speeches from a byglum age..

    • On meeting a widow, he remarked with sincerity, "her husband came to a sad end. He was eaten by missionaries."
    • Calling John Millington Synge's famous Irish play "The Ploughboy of the Western World.
    • At a wedding: "kisstomary to cuss the bride."
    • "Blushing crow" for "crushing blow."
    • In Church "The Lord is a shoving leopard"
    • "A well-boiled icicle" for "well-oiled bicycle."
    • "I have in my bosom a half-warmed fish" (for half-formed wish), supposedly said in a speech to Queen Victoria.
    • A toast to "our queer old dean" instead of to "our dear old Queen."
    • Upon dropping his hat: "Will nobody pat my hiccup?"
    • "Go and shake a tower" (Go and take a shower).
    • Paying a visit to a college official: "Is the bean dizzy?"
    • giving instructions “You will leave by the town drain."
    • When our boys come home from France, we will “have the hags flung out”.
    • "Such Bulgarians should be vanished..." (Such vulgarians should be banished).
    • Addressing farmers as "ye noble tons of soil".
    • "You have tasted a whole worm" (to a lazy student).
    • "The weight of rages will press hard upon the employer."
    • "Mardon me padom, you are occupewing my pie. May I sew you to another sheet?"

While Freud's theories were revolutionary for their time, the majority of them are completely untesticle.

10 x 42 binoculars ftw.. I’ve only ever seen the Milky Way properly three times, above the peaks of the Italian alps 1980, above a jungle canopy in the natal game park 1995, staying under canvas in the Utah desert outside Moab 2015 all spectacular viewing.
