About time I gave a chilli update!
I've got plenty but not as many as I hoped. I am not beating myself up, cos this year was pretty busy what with building the poly tunnel and, what was it now, oh yer 2nd child arriving!
Three mistakes I reckon:
- I lost track of labelling when potting on, so ended up with lots of a few types and none of others
- I didn't pot on quick enough, so they wasted much development time with constrained rootball
- I interplanted with tomatoes in the poly tunnel. The chillies got shaded out and stunted.
Anyhoo, I have loads of Chinese Tongues of Fire, and some lovely and quite hot stubby red ones (First and second pic). I think these are habanero, or maybe an Aji type. Also some goat horn type, and ancho, streaking black but taking ages to ripen.
I think I'll get some fresh seed in this year. Up for the chilli circle again, and better growing next year!
