Even harder to swallow!
With a kitchen worktop, are better sourcing the material ourselves or getting our carpenter to source it? I'm not sure which is more cost effective/convenient/better quality?
I had exactly the same issue with my Chick and did exactly the same thing and didn't get it repaired, still regret it, loved that bike!

Midge's not too bad, not as bad as the west coast, also, doesn't get so hot you need air conditioning! Lived in Aberdeen for a couple of years before moving out into the sticks and really like it out here, thankful for it through lock down as well!
Scotland is Ace, in Aberdeenshire WFH with a view of a hill! MTB and Road biking on your doorstep, right to roam and wild camp. If you like that sort of thing, also, East coast doesn't rain nearly as much as all that!
